IKS Remains Leading Provider of Long Cutting Tools
Our recent purchase of a Viper Pro-4216AG Bridge Vertical Machining Center will enhance IKS’s reputation as a leading provider of long cutting tools to the steel, paper, tissue, and recycling industries.
International Knife & Saw, Inc. is pleased to announce its recent purchase of a Viper Pro-4216AG Bridge Vertical Machining Center. “This acquisition demonstrates our intention to remain the most significant supplier of long industrial knives in North America.” says Jim Ranson, VP of Metal Sales.
This machine will enhance IKS’s reputation as a leading provider of long cutting tools to the steel, paper, tissue, and recycling industries.
This new machine is built on a cast frame with fully boxed ways on all three axis and a robust headstock that provides versatile and powerful performance. Using state-of-the-art Fanuc controls, it has a high speed, high torque, gear driven spindle powered by a 35 HP motor. These features will allow IKS to increase production speed and shorten delivery time to customers.
The machine has a very large work envelope (approx. 160” X-Travel by 39” Y-Travel by 31” X-Travel) allowing it to machine even the largest shear knives, roll splitter knives and sheeter knives.
